A cornucopic selection, overflowing from the spoils of a lifetime’s collecting in Europe, Asia, and Australia, 007 has 3 impressive cabinets that are brimming in both quantity and quality. A Sydney born-antique dealer, 007 lived in Spain for 20 years and brings a unique breadth of knowledge in the decorative arts. Ceramics, glass, wood, and lacquer ware collections of 19th & 20th C figurines and objects: wooden Spanish church effigies, English white Parian porcelain Neo-Classical groups, Chinese ‘blanc-de-chine’ porcelain ‘Guan Yin’ or Goddesses of Mercy. Japanese Satsuma vases, bowls, and censers show intricate gold brushwork. Italian Murano glass, Danish Royal Copenhagen, French Art Deco artists, Charles Catteaux and Lois Dage, and England’s Clarice Cliff sit alongside Royal Doulton and Moorcroft. Australian glass artist Peter Goss, the Boyd family’s ceramics, ‘Australiana’ pottery greats Grace Seccombe and Castle Harris are all showcased in 007 cabinets.
